The Plan: Strengthening Community Engagement and City Services

1. Hands-On Leadership: During my first six months, I will work alongside every major department in Kettering. This firsthand experience will ensure I understand the day-to-day operations, challenges, and opportunities within our city, leading to informed and effective decision-making.

2. Park Improvements: Instead of creating new parks, I will focus on enhancing our existing parks by upgrading equipment, improving facilities, and incorporating community input into every project. These upgrades will create more enjoyable and accessible spaces for all residents.

3. Enhanced Fire/EMS Resources: By investing in our Fire and EMS teams, we can improve patient outcomes, save lives, and support the long-term health and safety of our community. My goal is to ensure our emergency services have the tools and resources they need to excel.

4. Transparent and Accessible Communication: I will introduce new methods and communication channels to engage the community, gather feedback, and address concerns. This approach will not only educate residents about city government activities but also ensure meaningful action is taken by city leadership.

5. Revitalized City Council Meetings: I will advocate for changes to City Council meetings that encourage higher attendance and greater community participation. These meetings should be welcoming and accessible to all residents, offering a platform for engagement and dialogue.
